What's funnier?And a sincere thank you.
I love my clients- they are truly hilarious. If I have never said thank you before, let me say it now.
Thank you for being the best clients...all of you.
Thank you for cracking me up daily.
Thank you for allowing me to wake up and be giddy because its a wedding day.
Thank you for having me live on pure wedding adrenaline a couple times a month.
Thank you for the emails that remind me that you are enjoying this as much as I am.
Thank you for the voicemails you leave with excitement in your voice.
Thank you for the hugs and happy dances when you come into town to plan.
Thank you for letting me taste wedding dinners and cake over and over again.
Thank you for the opportunity to dance a little bit (behind a door, where nobody can see me) to a great song at your reception.
Thank you for letting me cry happy tears no less than 4 times a wedding when you walk down the aisle, dance with your husband, dance with your dad, and party with your friends.
Thank you for some truly amazing memories- past, present, and future.
Here's to another great wedding!

Maggie and Aaron's Planning Visit

I had so much fun with Maggie & Aaron the last couple days. They came down for a planning visit and we managed to:
Pack in a cupcake tasting with Andrea at Flour Cupcakes. Can I just say YUM?
If you're even considering cupcakes for your wedding- call her 1st. Her cupcakes rock and so does she.
Okay, then we had their engagement photo shoot on Ft Myers Beach with Ashley & Sam Brockinton Go to her blog to see more amazing photos. WOW.

A little snafoo while we were out on the beach. Um, yeah, I lost the keys to Maggies car. Oops. Ha Ha, not so funny. Luckily some surfer dudes found 'em. Whew!
We also had a 2nd consult with their floral designer and their tasting at South Seas and picked out invitations. Yes...it was a busy couple days. And oh so much fun!

Real Wedding: The Boys Tied the Knot!
Yes! Our first commitment ceremony & celebration. It was beyond fantastic. Truly, it was such an honor for me to help James & Glenn plan their 4 day extravaganza on Captiva Island. Planning their celebration was just like planning any other wedding. I have to admit though, it was by far the most emotional wedding day I have ever experienced. No joke, I cried like 8 times. And the rest of the team cried too, especially when James surprised Glenn at the ceremony when he sang to him. Oh my gosh we all just lost it. It was amazing.
I want to say a special thank you to Amanda Deminie from South Seas Island Resort. She went above and beyond with this event.
James is an interior designer, and as I expected, his design for the reception was jaw dropping. These photos are all ours; as soon as the pro photos come in, I'll post!

Real wedding: Sugar Bride

Jenny. The sweetest bride with the biggest sweet tooth I have ever come across. There was no lack for sugar at this weekend wedding extravaganza! From the welcome packages to the girl scout cookie favors, there was no lack of sugar…ever. Jenny and her very cool groom Brett have demanding jobs in NYC, so I did most of the planning with Jennys mom Nadine who's across the state in Miami. Daily phone calls, emails, and the occasional trip over were always fun with Nadine. By the time the wedding came we were like family. The girls (Dom, Danielle and Michelle) and I miss them all. It was a crazy wild and fun six months of planning. Ok so why sugar bride? The wedding was one part amazing flowers, one part rockin band, and 4 parts sugar. The welcome packages had at least 3 types of sugar or gum in them, at the rehearsal dinner there was smores packages for the guests to use at the firepit, and at the reception:
- A massive Candy Buffet
- A late night Sweet Café with a chef who made berries flambé to order
- Hundreds of cupcakes
- Fruit kabobs passed on the dancefloor
- Girl Scout Cookies for favors
All the weekend festivities took place at LaPlaya Beach & Golf resort in Naples. Truly- it's a stunning resort, you can't ask for much better when you want a big city wedding in a beach environment.
All these photos are from Steve Gold Photography. What a totally nice guy! We flipped when these photos came in the mail yesterday. I had almost forgotten how unbelievable gorgeous that Chuppah was, oh and the candle lit aisle leading up to it. Stunning. I still don't know how he got that shot from above. He must have angel wings :)
